Which type of Bill can be introduced only in the Lok Sabha and not in the Rajya Sabha ?
Money Bill
Article 109 of the Constitution lays down that a Money Bill shall not be introduced in the Council of States (Rajya Sabha); it can originate only in the House of the People (Lok Sabha), and only on the recommendation of the President.
Whether a Bill is a Money Bill (dealing with matters in Article 110, such as taxes and the Consolidated Fund) is decided by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. The Rajya Sabha can only make recommendations on it within 14 days.
An Ordinary Bill and a Constitution Amendment Bill under Article 368 may be introduced in either House, and a Bill to replace an ordinance is also an ordinary or financial Bill that is not restricted to the Lok Sabha unless it is itself a Money Bill.
