The present atmosphere evolved in stages: the primordial atmosphere (mainly hydrogen and helium) was lost due to the sun's heat and solar winds, after which volcanic outgassing from the hot interior of the early Earth released gases such as water vapour and carbon dioxide to form a secondary atmosphere. Later, photosynthetic life released oxygen and modified the atmosphere's composition into its present form, so all three statements are correct.
