The correct answer is

A and B only

An artificial neural network is a computational model built from simple weighted-sum units (artificial neurons) loosely inspired by biological neurons. It is trained by adjusting weights, usually by gradient-based learning such as back-propagation.

Statement A — the number of weights to be adjusted grows with the number of layers and neurons, so a larger network needs more computation per epoch and generally more epochs; training time depends on network size. True.

Statement B — a neural network is just a set of numerical operations (multiplications, additions and activation functions), so it can be simulated in software on an ordinary von Neumann computer; this is how almost all networks are run. True.

Statement C — artificial neurons are only a crude abstraction of biological neurons; they do not reproduce the chemistry, timing or learning mechanisms of the human brain, so the network does not work in the same way as the brain. False.

Statement D — feedback (recurrent connections) is present only in some architectures such as recurrent or Hopfield networks; the common feed-forward network (multilayer perceptron) has no feedback at all, so feedback is not a defining property. False.

Only A and B are correct; every other combination includes C or D, which are not generally true.

A and B only option is correct.
