What will be the impact on solar panel performance if a high-latitude installation uses the same tilt angle as an equatorial installation?

The correct answer is

Solar panels capture less sunlight in winter months

A fixed solar panel gathers the most energy when its tilt angle is set so that the sun's rays strike its surface as nearly perpendicular as possible, and the best fixed tilt is roughly equal to the site's latitude.

Near the equator the sun passes almost overhead all year, so a panel lying nearly flat (a small tilt) is close to optimal.

At a high-latitude site the sun stays much lower in the sky, especially in winter, so the panel needs a steep tilt to face that low sun; using the shallow equatorial angle leaves it badly aimed.

With the wrong shallow tilt the winter rays hit the panel at a glancing angle, spreading the same light over more area, so the panel captures less sunlight in the winter months.

Overheating throughout the year is not the issue, because a poor tilt at high latitude reduces incident energy rather than concentrating heat.

Rapid high-temperature degradation and frequent wiring faults are reliability problems unrelated to tilt angle, which only governs how the panel is aimed at the sun.

Hence, the answer is Solar panels capture less sunlight in winter months.
