The correct answer is

20,000 V/m

For a uniform electric field between two parallel plates, the electric field magnitude is given by the potential difference divided by the separation between the plates:

\(E = \dfrac{V}{d}\)

Here, \(V = 80\ \text{V}\) and \(d = 4\ \text{mm} = 4\times10^{-3}\ \text{m}\), so:

\(E = \dfrac{80}{4\times10^{-3}} = 20{,}000\ \text{V/m}\)

The magnitude of the electric field between the plates is therefore 20,000 V/m.
