To improve education and productivity is one of the objectives recommended in :
Kothari Education Commission (1964-66)
The Kothari Education Commission (1964-66), chaired by Dr. D.S. Kothari, submitted its report ‘Education and National Development’ in 1966.
It proposed a programme of educational reconstruction with five objectives: increasing productivity, achieving social and national integration, accelerating modernisation, and developing social, moral and spiritual values. Linking education with productivity meant science education, work experience and vocationalisation of secondary education.
The National Commission on Teachers focused on teachers' status and training, the NCF 2005 on constructivist, burden-free learning in school curriculum, and the Yashpal Committee (2009) on renovation of higher education.
Hence, improving education and productivity is an objective recommended in the Kothari Education Commission (1964-66).
