Kothari Commission emphasize to focus, education for .................. .
Productivity
The Kothari Commission (1964-66) opened its report with the conviction that 'the destiny of India is now being shaped in her classrooms' and proposed that education be related to national development.
Its programme had five main objectives: increasing productivity, achieving social and national integration, accelerating modernisation, consolidating democracy and developing social, moral and spiritual values.
Linking education with productivity was placed first; it was to be achieved through science education, work experience and vocationalisation. Environmental consciousness, art and cultural education and informal education were not the central focus of the Commission.
Hence, the Kothari Commission emphasised education for Productivity.
