The Mathura style of sculpture is distinguished by:
Indian indigenous themes with some Hellenistic influence
Indian indigenous themes with some Hellenistic influence is correct.
The Mathura school of sculpture flourished around Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) under the Kushanas, especially Kanishka, from about the 1st century CE. It used local spotted red sandstone and was largely indigenous: it made Buddhist, Jain and Hindu images, yakshas and yakshis, and gave Buddha a smiling face, shaved head, fleshy body and halo. Being under the same Kushana empire as Gandhara, it also shows some Hellenistic and Central Asian touches, such as some drapery and portrait-style royal statues.
The Gandhara school is the one with strong Greco-Roman influence, so 'Greek influence only' is wrong; 'purely Indian with no outside influence' ignores those Kushana-era touches; and Persian influence is not its defining feature.
