The correct answer is

no substitution required

Work out the logical relation the sentence needs. Carrying an umbrella should keep a person dry. She got wet anyway. The two facts pull against each other, so the connective must express contrast, and it must join two real events that actually happened.

even though — used for a real contrast, where both facts are true. She got all wet even though she was carrying an umbrella. This is exactly right, so no substitution required is the answer.

Why the other three fail:

even if — this is the closest rival, and only one word apart. But even if introduces a hypothetical condition, something that may or may not be so: She would get wet even if she carried an umbrella. Here the umbrella was actually being carried, so the real-contrast form is the one required.

because — this states a cause, which reverses the logic entirely. It would mean the umbrella made her wet.

in case — expresses a precaution taken against a possibility: Take an umbrella in case it rains. It cannot join a result to a fact that opposes it.

The distinction to carry forward: even though for what did happen, even if for what might.
