SSC JHT is a national level exam conducted for the recruitment of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator and Hindi Pradhayapak post in various government departments, ministries, and organizations. It is conducted through two phases- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC JHT 2021 recruitment very soon. The selection process of SSC JHT 2021 exam will e completed in two stages that is Paper I (computer based) and Paper II (Descriptive).

  • As per SSC JHT Exam Pattern, Paper 1 will have 200 MCQs based questions.

SSC JHT Eligibility 2021

SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2021 Eligibility Criteria varies for each post in terms of nationality, age limit and educational qualification. Candidates must make sure that they satisfy the eligibility before applying for the exam: 

SSC JHT Nationality

Candidates belonging to the following nationalities are eligible to apply for SSC JHT 2021 Exam:  

  • A Citizen of India or
  • A Subject of Nepal or
  • A Subject of Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • A Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India 

Provided that these candidates, except Indian citizens, produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India at the time of appointment.

SSC JHT Educational Qualifications

  • Aspirants must have Bachelor’s Degree from the recognized University / Institution.
  • Master Degree English /Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level and relevant degree from the recognized University/Institution.

SSC JHT Application Form 2021

SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2021 Application Form can be filled in online mode only. Candidates applying for the first time should register at the commission’s website. Candidates should apply through the website and select the ‘Apply Now’ option from the top menu bar. Click on “Junior Hindi Translator” page and the panel will open.

The panel will be divided into columns:

  • Registration / View
  • Instruction to Candidates
  • Application

Step 1: Registration

  • Candidates have to register using the registration link
  • Candidates are asked to fill details like name, date of birth and parents name
  • A username and password is generated for future usage
  • Candidates are redirected to the registration page where they should fill all details like personal information, Aadhaar card, nationality, category and contact details
  • Candidates have to upload their photograph and signature in the specified sizes

Step 2: Fill SSC JHT Application Form

  • Candidates should login in using their login credentials
  • SSC JHT Application Form is divided into different parts like personal information, Category details, Post preference, Educational Qualifications, Work Experience, Contact Details and Photo Uploading option
  • The application will auto-fill details matching with the registration form
  • Candidates can preview the applications by saving and selecting preview option
  • Once satisfied, candidates can move to the next option, which is a payment.
  • SSC has given fee exemption to SC/ST candidates, hence they can submit the application form at this stage.
  • Candidates should save a copy of the application form for future reference

Step 3: SSC JHT Application Fee Payment

SSC has determined a fee of INR 100 for candidates belonging to general/ EWS and OBC category. There is no fee for SC/ ST/ PwD/ Ex-servicemen and Women candidates. Application fees can be paid through both online and offline mode.

  • Online: Candidates can pay through Bhim UPI, debit/ credit card and net banking
  • Offline: Candidates can download the e-challan and pay fees in cash at any branch of State Bank of India.

SSC JHT 2021 Admit Card

SSC Junior Hindi Translator Admit Card are available on the official regional websites of Staff Selection Commission.

  • Candidates can download the hall ticket by logging in with their registration number and password.
  • Candidates are required to carry their admit card along with an original photo ID proof to the exam center. 
  • The admit card will specify important details like candidate’s name, registration number, roll number, photo, signature, name of the post, allotted exam date, time and venue.
  • Candidates should verify the details and contact the commission, in case of any discrepancy.

SSC JHT Exam Centers 2021  

SSC Junior Hindi Translator exam will be conducted in 46 cities across India.

  • Candidates will have to indicate 3 exam centers in order of their preference in the application form. 
  • SSC will try to allot the preferred exam center, however, it reserves the right to cancel or add or allocate any center to the candidates.
  • The address of the allotted exam center will be specified in the admit card.
  • No request to change the exam center will be entertained by SSC.

SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2021 

SSC Junior Hindi Translator exam is conducted through two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.

  • Paper 1 will be held on November 26, 2021(tentative) in online mode.
  • Paper 1 is an objective type test having 200 multiple choice questions on General English and General Hindi
  • Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark and incorrect answer will cost 0.25 marks.
  • Candidates qualifying in Paper 1 will have to appear in Paper 2
  • Paper 2 is a pen paper based test having descriptive questions on Translation and Essay.

SSC JHT Syllabus 2021   

SSC Junior Hindi Translator Syllabus and Exam pattern both vary for Paper 1 and Paper 2. However, in both the papers, candidates’ knowledge, competence and grasp over Hindi and English language are tested. SSC JHT Paper 1 and Paper 2 Syllabus are described below:

SSC JHT Paper 1 Syllabus

  • Paper 1 will have 100 multiple choice questions each on General English and General Hindi.
  • Paper 1 will test candidates’ understanding of the Hindi and English language and their literature, correct use of words, phrases and idioms.
  • The questions will be of degree level. 

SSC JHT Paper 2 Syllabus 

Paper 2 will test candidates’ translation skills and their ability to write as well as comprehend the two languages correctly, precisely and effectively. The paper will have 4 descriptive questions:

  • Hindi to English translation,
  • English to Hindi translation’
  • English essay writing and
  • Hindi essay writing

SSC JHT 2021 Result 

SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2021 result will be tentatively announced on January 29, 2021. Only candidates qualifying Paper 1 will be called to appear in Paper 2 and the result of Paper 2 will be announced once the exam concludes. The result will be the available at SSC website and it will be in a pdf format. SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2021 Cut off 

SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2021 cut off will be determined by the commission after the announcement of the exam results. The cut off is determined by the following factors:

  • Number of candidates appearing for the exam
  • Marks secured by candidates in the exam
  • Cut off of the previous year
  • Vacancies for the year

Hi Dev, if the pending step is to pay the application fee, then, it can be paid till Sep 28, 2019 till 5:00 pm. Thus, you can still try by signing in using your registration ID and password.
