Question

If GANGA is coded as 711471, how will YAMUNA be coded?

This question was previously asked in
SSC CGL 2025 Tier 2 Paper 1 Question Paper (19-Jan-2026)
The correct answer is

2511321141

The code is built by concatenating the position number of each letter in the English alphabet (A=1, B=2, …, Z=26).

Verify with GANGA: G=7, A=1, N=14, G=7, A=1 → “7” + “1” + “14” + “7” + “1” = 711471

Apply to YAMUNA: Y=25, A=1, M=13, U=21, N=14, A=1.

Concatenate: “25” + “1” + “13” + “21” + “14” + “1” = 2511321141.

Hence the code is 2511321141 — option (4).
