Question

If 3P/7 = 4Q/11, then what is the ratio of p and Q respectively?

This question was previously asked in
SSC CGL 2017 (Tier 1) Previous Year Paper (16-Aug-2017) (Shift 1)
The correct answer is

28 : 33

Cross-multiplying \(\dfrac{3P}{7}=\dfrac{4Q}{11}\):

\[3P \times 11 = 4Q \times 7 \implies 33P = 28Q\]

\[\frac{P}{Q}=\frac{28}{33}\]

Therefore P : Q = 28 : 33.
