RRB Group D 2025 Question Paper (18-Aug-2026) (Shift 1)
The correct answer is

Both statements A and B are correct.

Statement A: In an addition reaction, reactant molecules add together across a multiple bond to give a single product, e.g. C2H4 + H2 → C2H6. So Statement A is correct.

Statement B: Alkenes (C=C) and alkynes (C≡C) are unsaturated hydrocarbons; their double and triple bonds readily take up hydrogen, halogens, etc. So they commonly undergo addition reactions, and Statement B is correct.

Hence, the answer is both statements A and B are correct.
