Candidates applying for RRB Staff Nurse Recruitment 2025 must meet the specific nationality, educational, and age requirements.
1. Nationality: A candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a citizen of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
2. Educational Qualifications: Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife having passed 3 years course in General Nursing and Midwifery from a school of Nursing or other institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council OR B.Sc Nursing.
Note: The Indian Nursing Council has also laid down certain special concessions for the above courses in respect of Auxiliary Nurse Midwives, Midwives and B grade Nurses, by way of reduced course period etc. Candidates obtaining the qualification prescribed above under these concessions will also be eligible for recruitment.
3. Age Limit: The minimum age required is 20 years (not born after 01.01.2006).
- The maximum age varies by category:
- UR/EWS: Must not be born earlier than 02.01.1986 (maximum 40 years).
- OBC–NCL: Must not be born earlier than 02.01.1983 (maximum 43 years).
- SC/ST: Must not be born earlier than 02.01.1981 (maximum 45 years).
