A word is represented by only one set of numbers as given in any one of the alternatives. The sets of numbers given in the alternatives are represented by two classes of alphabets as shown in the given two matrices. The columns and rows of Matrix-I are numbered from 0 to 4 and that of Matrix-II are numbered for 5 to 9. A letter from these matrices can be represented first by its row and next by its column, for example ‘K’ can be represented by 14, 03 etc. and ‘Z’ can be represented by 58. 69 etc. similarly, you have to identify the set for the word ‘BHUS.

This question was previously asked in
SSC CGL 2017 (Tier 1) Previous Year Paper (16-Aug-2017) (Shift 1)
The correct answer is

34, 33, 55, 59

Each letter is coded as (row, column). Possible codes:

B: 34, 43 (Matrix-I); H: 20, 33 (Matrix-I); U: 55, 67, 87 (Matrix-II); S: 59, 65 (Matrix-II).

Option 1 (34, 33, 55, 59) matches B-H-U-S exactly. Other options fail at the very first code (14=K, 56=N, 01=C).

Hence the answer is 34, 33, 55, 59.
