K > L > J > (H, I)
So K is the tallest. This conclusion needs both statements: Statement I supplies K's superiority over J, H and I, while Statement II is needed to place L below K. Neither statement alone covers all four rivals. Therefore the correct answer is that both statements together (and not either one alone) are sufficient.
