NIACL AO Notification 2026 is soon going to be released by New India Assurance Company Ltd. (NIACL) for approx. 750 vacancies in March 2026, on its official website. With the release of its notification, the online application window will also be opened by NIACL. Candidates who have a Graduation or a Postgraduate degree (60% for UR & 55% for reserved), and are aged between 21 and 30 years (subject to category-wise relaxation), can apply before the last date. The selection process involves three stages, namely, Prelims, Mains (objective + descriptive), and an Interview. The final merit is based on the candidate’s marks obtained in the Mains exam and Interview in an 80:20 ratio, respectively.

NIACL AO Eligibility 2026

NIACL requires candidates with specific eligibility criteria to apply for NIACL AO Recruitment 2026, which include nationality, age limit (with age relaxation for reserved category candidates), and educational qualification. NIACL AO eligibility criteria 2026 are given below:

1. Nationality

Candidates must be either:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal, or
  • Subject of Bhutan, or

3. Educational Qualification (as on 1st August 2026)

Generalists: A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a graduate/post-graduate in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government, with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).

Specialists: A candidate must possess the minimum qualification for a Specialist post. The qualification should be from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.

NIACL AO 2026 service conditions require selected candidates to work anywhere in India, with a minimum stay of five years at the initial posting, while specialists may need to continue in their domain for at least ten years. Newly appointed officers will serve a one-year probation, which may be extended, and must pass the non-life Licentiate Examination to be confirmed in service. Failure to do so or unsuitability during probation can lead to termination.
