CTET September 2026 Paper 2 Syllabus covers topics that test your ability to teach students of Class 6-8. As per CTET exam pattern, Paper 2 consists of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I & Language II, Mathematics, and Science or Social Studies. In CTET Paper 2, Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I & Language II are compulsory subjects. However, Mathematics and Science, and Social Studies/Social Science subjects are optional. You have to select either of them. For instance, if you wish to teach Mathematics and Science, then select the same. If Social Studies/Social Science, then select these objections. In section – Mathematics and Science section, and Social Studies/Social Science, the questions are distributed evenly for each subject. You have to attempt 30 questions for each subject.
