The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, popularly known as CGPSC in short, will be conducting the State Service Examination 2020-21 for recruiting personnel to higher authoritative posts in the State Government. The official advertisement is expected to be released by the end of December 2020. Preliminary exam will be conducted by February 2021 and the succeeding stages will follow. The Admit card link will be activated on the CGPSC website at least 10 days prior to the final exam day. A notice will be given on behalf of the Commission declaring the activation of the link. Candidates must keep an eye on the website for recent updates.

How to download CGPSC Admit card 2020 - 21?

CGPSC State Service Exam Admit card will be available online on the official website of the Commission. The link will be activated at least 10 days before the exam. No requests of the candidates to send the admit cards to their correspondence addresses or the like shall be entertained. They will have to print out the admit cards on their own. Applicants will require the username, password and such information to login and download their hall ticket. Detailed steps to follow to download the same have been enlisted below.

Step 1 – Visit the official website of CGPSC.

Step 2 – On the Home page a link stating Click here to View/Print Online Admit Card of State Service (Prelims) Exam -2020; click on it.

Step 3 – Candidates will be redirected to another website with the URL www.cbtexams.in/CGPSC/SSE/

Step 4 – Go to the Login tab.

Step 5 – Enter username and password provided at the time of application. Candidates can also opt for a virtual keyboard to type in the credentials.

Step 6 – Go to the Admit Card section; click on it.

Step 7 – Click on the Download Admit Card option.

Step 8 – Hence, proceed as directed and print out some copies of the Hall Ticket.

Candidates can directly start from Step 3 and follow thereafter to download their admit cards. They can browse for the given URL and will be able to retrieve original hall tickets.

Details stated on CGPSC Admit Card

Candidates are advised to attentively check all the details stated on their Admit cards. It will contain the following information.

  • Name of candidate
  • Gender
  • Guardian’s name (Mother / Father)
  • Caste category (General, OBC, SC/ST, or PwD)
  • Uploaded Photograph
  • Signature of the applicant (one uploaded at the time of application)
  • Candidate’s Roll number
  • Registration Number
  • Exam city
  • Exam centre name and address
  • Exam timings
  • Reporting time
  • Space for candidate’s signature (to be done in the presence of examiner)
  • Slot for invigilator’s signature

In case, there is any mistake in the above-mentioned details on the admit card, report the conducting organization at the earliest for rectification, with relevant evidence. This is where the copy of the application form will be required.

Required Documents on Exam Day

To be allowed into the examination hall, it is absolutely mandatory for candidates to carry their admit cards, otherwise they won’t be allowed to appear for the CGPSC SSE exam. Along with it they will have to carry a Government issued identity proof for verification. The Commission has specified the type of ID proof that will be accepted which has been enlisted below.

  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • Voter ID
  • Driving License
  • Passport
  • Smart card (issued by National Population Register or Ministry of Labour and Employment for medical insurance)
  • Service ID card
  • Bank or Post Office Passbook or Kisan passbook
  • Student ID card
  • Ration card
  • SC/ST/OBC certificate (if any)
  • Proof for PwD (if any)
  • Pension document (for pensioners, Ex-Army personnel or widows of Army personnel)

Any document whichever is produced must contain the photograph of the candidate for identification.

CGPSC 2020-21 Important Rules related to Admit card

Candidates must read the instructions given on their admit cards and also the ones provided along with the official advertisement. In addition, some important points to be taken care of have been listed below.

  • Any electronic gadgets like mobile phones, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, pager, electronic pen, the smartwatch will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
  • Among stationeries, candidates can carry only a blue or black pen to mark their answers on the OMR sheet.
  • Erasers, blades, or whiteners should not be carried inside the examination hall.
  • If the applicant’s photograph or signature or both are not clearly visible on the admit card, his/her candidature shall be canceled as per the instructions of the Commission.
  • At every stage in the examination process, make sure that all information lying with the authority or the candidate is correct.
  • Avoid downloading or printing out the admit card on the last day the link is active; there may be instances of technical glitches. Complete this task at the earliest.
  • Do not misplace the Admit Card; it is a very vital document for the test. Print out some copies of it and keep them safe in case of emergencies.
  • It is advisable to visit the exam centre before the final day of the test to reach there on time.
  • On the exam day, leave for the exam centre as early as possible to avoid any last minute rush.
