BPSC TRE 4.0 syllabus follows the structure set out in Advertisement No. 14/2026, released by Bihar Public Service Commission on 18 August 2026. Child Development and Pedagogy is part of this paper only for Primary Teacher (Class 1-5). Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary General Studies papers don't carry a pedagogy component.

Subject depth rises with the level. A Middle School Science paper draws from Class 6-8 NCERT/SCERT content, while the same subject at Senior Secondary level tests concepts through Class 11-12 and touches foundational graduate-level ideas.

Language needs only enough depth to clear the qualifying minimum, so time spent beyond that doesn't add merit marks. General Studies rewards breadth across NCERT-level topics rather than depth in any one area. The Concerned Subject paper is the opposite: since it carries 80 marks on its own, going deep into the chosen subject's full syllabus, rather than skimming multiple optional subjects, is what separates a strong score from an average one.
