TNTET Result 2020 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be released in August 2020. Candidates can download the result at the official portal of the Teachers Recruitment Board  – The result is released in the form of a PDF having candidates’ roll numbers and marks.

  • TNTET Answer Keys are also released on the official website. 
  • Candidates have to download the result PDF and search their roll number to know their marks. 
  • Candidates have to score more than the qualifying marks in order to clear TNTET Exam.
  • After result declaration, the merit list will be prepared and qualified candidates will be issued Eligibility Certificate.
  • Eligibility Certificate is valid for 7 years and certifies the eligibility of the candidate to be appointed as a teacher in Tamil Nadu Schools.

How to Check TNTET 2020 Result

The following steps help candidates to check their results of TNTET 2020 Exam:

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e.

Step 2: Click on ‘TNTET 2020’ link

Step 3: Select ‘TNTET 2020 Results’ tab. Candidates will be redirected to another page

Step 4: At the end of the page, click on the ‘Next’ link

Step 5: Click on ‘Click here for Individual Candidate Query’ tab.

Step 6: Enter your issued TNTET Roll Number

Step 7: Next, check your results, available in the form of scores. Download and take the printout of result for future reference.

TNTET Answer Keys 2020

TRB, Tamil Nadu will release the tentative answer key for TNTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 in July 2020. The Board will then release tentative answer keys of TNTET Paper 1 and Paper 2  on which the result is based. With the help of these answer keys, candidates could get an estimated scores in the recruitment exam.

TNTET Answer Keys Objections/ Challenge

Candidates having objections in tentative answer keys could send their representations along with supporting materials in the prescribed format to TRB.

  • The representations may be sent through post or may be dropped in the Box provided at Teachers Recruitment Board’s Information Centre.
  • Acceptable Supporting Material: Only standard books/text books can be provided as evidence. Guides, correspondence course materials and non-standard books are not permissible.
  • Any objections and materials produced beyond the stipulated time will not be entertained.
  • On consideration of such objections, final answers would be published by TRB and the same will be the final answer key.
  • No independent orders either accepting or rejecting the objections of the candidates will be passed. Only a final answer key will be published.
  • Constitution of experts to consider the objections cannot be questioned by the candidates.

Step 1: Visit the official website of TNTET i.e

Step 2: On the homepage, click on ‘TNTET Answer Keys’ link

Step 3: Click on ‘Tentative Key Answers’ tab.

Step 4: Save and check the answer keys.

Step 5: In case, you have any objections related to the keys, there is a provision to raise a challenge against the same.

TNTET 2020 Merit List

  • On the basis of candidate’s score in TNTET, merit list will be prepared.
  • They will be ranked on the merit list according to their scores.
  • Merit is released online on the official website.
  • Merit list will also be published category wise.
  • According to the candidates rank in the merit list, they will be called for certificate verification and then for an interview.

Check TNTET 2020 Pattern

TNTET 2020 Eligibility  Certificate

  • Candidates qualifying TNTET 2020 by scoring the marks above the prescribed cutoff by TRB, Tamil Nadu will be issued a certificate of Eligibility.
  • This certificate declares that the candidate has qualified the exam and is eligible for recruitment as teacher in schools of Tamil Nadu. 
  • Also, this certificate does not ensure the appointment of any candidate.
  • The validity of this certificate is 7 years. Candidates if lose or damage this certificate then they can apply for the duplicate by paying fees.
  • For Paper II: Eligible person who secures 60% or more in the TET Paper II examination will be considered to have passed TET Paper II. This will be the qualifying marks for the candidates of all the categories. However, relaxation of 5% marks has been provided by the government for BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC, SC, SC(A), ST and PWD candidates.
  • TET qualification is one of the eligibility conditions for appointment. 

TNTET 2020 Cutoff

Cutoff are the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score in order to participate in the proceeding rounds. The qualifying marks are released after the declaration of results. As compared to last year, the cutoff for TNTET 2020 is expected to witness a upward trend.

Cut off marks will be decided on the basis of various following factors:

  • Total number of candidates appearing for the exam
  • Difficulty level of the paper
  • Number of Vacancies
  • Reservation Norms
