Split the two hours roughly equally between the General Hindi and General English sections instead of letting one run over.
Skip a question if you cannot rule out at least two options, since a wrong guess costs 0.25 mark against 1 mark for a correct one.
In Paper 2, translate the shorter passage first to bank marks early, then use the remaining time for the longer passage and both essays.
Write the essay in your stronger language first, since Paper 2 has no negative marking and every attempted question adds to the score.
Reserve the last 10 to 15 minutes of Paper 1 to revisit marked questions rather than attempting fresh ones under time pressure.
