Staff Selection Commission releases the SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2021 Exam Pattern and Syllabus in its official notification. It is conducted in two phases – Paper I and Paper II. Paper I consists of objective type multiple choice questions, and the questions will be asked from two sections. On the other hand, paper II consists of descriptive type questions. SSC JHT Paper I Pattern

  • Paper I is a Computer Based Test having multiple choice questions.
  • It consists of two sections – General English and General Hindi.
  • Each section has 100 questions and the total time duration is 2 hours.
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

  • Paper II is a pen paper based test having descriptive questions.
  • This paper consists of translation and essay writing questions
  • In translation, candidates will be asked to translate one Hindi passage to English and one English passage to Hindi language.
  • In essay writings, candidates have to write one essay in Hindi and one in English.

SSC JHT 2021 Marking Scheme

  • Paper I has a total of 200 MCQs, 100 each from General English and General Hindi.
  • Each question carries 1 mark and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
  • Paper II will have 4 questions. There is no specific marking pattern followed in paper II.
  • Maximum marks for both Paper I and II is 200. There is no negative marking applicable in Paper II.
