The recruitment is conducted annually where lakhs of aspirants sit to appear for the examination. A total of 58373 vacancies have been announced by SSC for the post of Constable (GD) this year. The recruitment process consists of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
