  • The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) will be releasing the RRB NTPC 2020 cutoff along with the scorecard after the conclusion of the exam.
  • The cutoff of RRB NTPC 2020 will be released for each stage separately for all the different railway boards.
  • RRB will first release the RRB NTPC 2020 cutoff for 1st stage CBT (Computer-based Test) which will be followed by stage-2 CBT, CBAT/Skill Test/Typing Test and subsequently the final cutoff.

Ques. What is the normalisation process of RRB NTPC 2020 Cutoff?

Ans. RRBs will conduct RRB NTPC exam in multiple shifts, stages and sessions. The difficulty level of the question paper in each shift can be different. The Railway Boards utilize the normalization process to equate marks of candidates across various shifts. RRB NTPC cut off 2019-20 for each stage will be prepared after the marks of candidates have been normalized.

Ques. Is normalization some sort of grace marks?

Ans. No. Normalization process followed by RRBs is a scientific and statistical process. It is not a process of awarding grace marks.

Ques. Is there any interview in RRB NTPC 2020 Selection process?

Ans. No, there is no interview. It is totally based on calculated values of parameters such as the raw score of the candidate, which means a standard deviation of raw marks of candidates in his/her session and means a standard deviation of raw marks of candidates other sessions.

Ques. Can normalized score be less than raw score?

Ans. Yes, it can be in certain cases.

Ques. Is there a sectional cut off in the RRB NTPC exam?

Ans. No, there is no sectional cut off marks in RRB NTPC exam.

Ques. Is RRB NTPC cut off 2020 different for different zones?

Ans. Yes, the cut off is different for different railway zones.

Are there any minimum qualifying marks in the RRB NTPC exam?

Hi Lakshay. The candidates must get a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category, no marks relaxation in the minimum T- Score will be given to anyone. More details are presented here.

Is there any normalisation of marks in RRB NTPC exam?

Hi Arushi. Yes, normalization of marks will be done in RRB NTPC exam. The normalized score of 1st Stage CBT will be used while shortlisting candidates for 2nd Stage CBT as per their merit. Get more details related to the same here.

Is there any normalisation of marks in RRB NTPC exam?

Hi Rashmi. RRBs have now revised the normalisation process of RRB NTPC. As per the revised formula, the marks will be calculated based on the average marks of top one percent of candidates considering all shifts. Marks of candidates will be normalised for all the stages of exam involving multiple sessions.

How the merit will be drawn for the post of ASM & Traffic Assistant?

Hi Sameer. The merit will be drawn only for the candidates who are shortlisted in the Aptitude Test, with computation of 70% weightage being given to the marks obtained in 2nd Stage CBT. While the remaining 30% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in Aptitude Test.
