RRB NTPC 2021: List of Subjects

As per the RRB NTPC exam pattern, both first and second stage CBT has the same sections which are as under:

  1. General Awareness
  2. Mathematics
  3. General Intelligence and Reasoning

The selection of RRB NTPC includes multiple stages depending upon the post candidates have applied for.

Ques. What is the best way to practice for the examination?

Ans. The best way one can practice for the examination is by solving papers. For this one can go for Mock tests and for previous papers as well. Also, note that the RRB NTPC syllabus is almost the same as the syllabus of other government job recruitment exams. So, taking mock tests for any of those exams, like banking mock tests will be efficient in preparation for RRB NTPC 1st and 2nd stage CBTs.

Ques. Is there a lot of difference in the previous and latest versions of any books?

Ans. Yes, books are revised to keep them updated with the latest information. However, if one has the older version he/she can refer to google for the changes and updates.

Ques. What other sources can be used for General Awareness?

Ans. Candidates can read newspapers, magazines, and any awareness books. However, this subject requires to be built bit by bit so newspapers can contribute in a better way.

Ques. Is Lucent's GK sufficient for the RRB NTPC preparation?

Ans. Yes, this book is sufficient for the RRB NTPC GK section. However, candidates are advised to attempt GK quizzes which can benefit in a long run.

Is the syllabus for the RRB NTPC prelims and mains the same?

Hi. As per the latest RRB NTPC exam pattern, both first and second stage CBT has the same sections including General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The syllabus is almost the same, though there is a difference in the number of questions in each section. Candidates can refer to the same RRB NTPC books for these sections to prepare accordingly.

Hi. 3rd Phase is about Skill Test that is given by the candidates. Computer-Based Aptitude Test is for the Station Master and Traffic Assistant, Typing Skill Test for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, etc.
