RRB JE Age Limit 2026

RRB JE 2026 Age Limit for candidates is a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 33 years. Upper Age relaxation is, however, relaxed for certain categories. Check the table below for the upper age relaxations of all the categories for RRB JE exam 2026:

Female candidates (widowed, divorced, judicially separated but not remarried) UR & EWS: Up to 35 years
OBC (NCL): Up to 38 years
SC & ST: Up to 40 years

  • Blindness and Low Vision
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Locomotor disability, including Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims and Muscular Dystrophy
  • Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability and Mental Illness.
  • Multiple Disabilities from amongst persons under the clauses mentioned above, including deaf-blindness.

B.Sc. degree in Physics and Chemistry with minimum 45% marks from a recognised University/Institute with:

(a) Physics major and Chemistry as a subject, or

(b) Chemistry major and Physics as a subject, or

(c) Any other combination (e.g., Mathematics/Statistics) with both Physics and Chemistry as subjects.

Junior Engineer / Diesel Electrical
  • Three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering

OR

  • A combination of any sub-stream of the basic stream from a recognised University/Institute.
Junior Engineer / S&T / Signal / Telecommunication / Estimation / Workshop
  • Three-year Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Information Technology / Communication Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering

OR

  • A combination of any sub-stream of the basic stream from a recognised University/Institute.
Depot Material Superintendent Three-year Diploma in Engineering in any discipline from a recognised University/Institute.

RRB JE Nationality 2026

RRB JE 2026 Nationality criteria include candidates with the following nationality:

  • Citizen of India
  • Subjects of Nepal, Bhutan ( Certificate of eligibility must be issued by the Government of India).
  • Persons of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) with the intention of permanent settlement in India ( Certificate of eligibility must be issued by the Government of India).

RRB JE Medical Standards 2026

Candidates applying for RRB JE exam 2026 must have the following medical standards to be eligible for the exam:

Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses, and

B-1 Physically fit in all respects Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D)
Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required, and
Must pass the test for Colour vision, Binocular vision, Night vision and Mesopic vision.
C-1 Physically fit in all respects Distance Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses, and
