Question

With reference to the eligibility criteria for becoming the member of a 'Sabha' as laid down in the Uttaramerur inscription, consider the following statements:

1. The candidate should have his own house and his own plot of land

2. The candidate should be within 60 years of age and above 30 years

Which of the statements given above is/are correct?

This question was previously asked in
CDS 2 2026 Maths Question Paper (13-Sep-2026)
The correct answer is

1 only

As per the Uttaramerur inscription's eligibility norms for sabha membership, owning one's own house and plot of land was a genuine qualifying criterion (statement 1). The age bracket given in statement 2 (above 30 and within 60 years) does not match the age criterion recorded in the inscription, making statement 2 incorrect. Hence only statement 1 is correct.
