UGC NET 2014 Paper 1 Question Paper (28-Dec-2014)
The correct answer is

Sukhamoy Chakravarty Committee

The Committee to Review the Working of the Monetary System was set up by the Reserve Bank of India in 1982 under Sukhamoy Chakravarty; it reported in 1985.

It recommended monetary targeting with feedback (regulating money supply growth in line with expected output growth and acceptable inflation), better coordination of monetary and fiscal policy, curbs on monetisation of the fiscal deficit and more realistic, administered interest rates.

The Narasimham Committees (1991 and 1998) dealt with financial system and banking sector reforms; the Tandon Committee (1974) framed norms for bank lending for working capital (maximum permissible bank finance); the Dehejia Study Group (1969) examined credit needs of industry and the misuse of the cash-credit system.

Hence, Sukhamoy Chakravarty Committee.
