The correct answer is

Bhabar belt

The Northern Plains of India are divided into four parallel belts from north to south: Bhabar, Terai, Bhangar and Khadar.

The Bhabar belt lies just south of the Shiwaliks along the foot of the mountains. It is a narrow belt (8-16 km wide) made of coarse pebbles, gravel and porous rocky material deposited by rivers as they descend from the hills.

Because this material is highly porous, the streams and rivers disappear (seep) underground here, flowing beneath the surface. They re-emerge in the Terai belt further south, creating a marshy, wet region.

The Terai is the marshy re-emergence zone, the Khadar is the newer alluvium of the flood plains, and a delta belt forms at a river's mouth near the sea, so none of these match the description.

Hence, the belt with porous rocky soil where stream water seeps underground is the Bhabar belt.
