The correct answer is

(A) and (C) Only

Agile process models follow the Agile Manifesto: short iterations, working software delivered frequently, close customer collaboration and readiness to accept changing requirements. Well-known agile methods are Extreme Programming, Scrum, DSDM, Crystal, FDD and Kanban.

(A) Extreme Programming (XP) is agile: it uses user stories, pair programming, test-first development, continuous integration and small frequent releases.

(B) Waterfall is not agile: it is a linear sequential plan-driven model in which each phase is completed before the next begins.

(C) Scrum is agile: work is done in time-boxed sprints from a prioritised product backlog, with daily stand-ups and sprint reviews.

(D) Spiral is a risk-driven evolutionary model (Boehm); it is iterative but plan-driven, not an agile method.

(E) Incremental is a prescriptive model that delivers the product in planned increments; it is not classed as an agile process model.

Hence only Extreme Programming and Scrum are agile; combinations that include Waterfall, Spiral or Incremental are wrong.

(A) and (C) Only option is correct.

  5. A software development firm is planning a new project involving a data analytics tool. The project is estimated to have $25000$ lines of code. Using the basic COCOMO model, the firm wants to estimate the effort in person-months. For this project type, the multiplicative factor is given as $2.8$, and the exponentiation factor is $1.2$.
