Which art form developed as a result of the fusion of Greek and Indian artistic styles?
Gandhara art
The question asks which art school emerged from the blending of Greek (Hellenistic) and Indian artistic traditions.
The Gandhara school of art flourished from around the 1st century CE in the north-western part of the Indian subcontinent, in the region of present-day Peshawar and eastern Afghanistan, especially under the Kushana rulers such as Kanishka.
It fused Greco-Roman sculptural techniques, such as realistic drapery folds, wavy hair and human proportions, with Indian Buddhist subject matter, producing some of the earliest human images of the Buddha.
Because of this Greco-Indian synthesis it is often called Indo-Greek or Greco-Buddhist art.
Mathura art, by contrast, was an indigenous Indian style using red sandstone, while Amaravati sculpture developed in the south under the Satavahanas.
Gupta art represents a later, mature classical Indian phase and does not stem from Greek influence.
Hence, the art form born of the Greek-Indian fusion is Gandhara art.
