What is the primary objective of India's Aditya-L1 mission?
Observe solar activity
Aditya-L1, launched by ISRO on 2 September 2023, is India's first space-based observatory dedicated to the Sun.
It is placed in a halo orbit around Lagrange point L1, about 1.5 million km from Earth, from where it can watch the Sun continuously without eclipses.
Its seven payloads study the photosphere, chromosphere, corona, solar flares, coronal mass ejections and the solar wind, so its main objective is to observe solar activity.
Hence, Observe solar activity.
