The total number of units manufactured at Plants B and D was what percentage of the total number of units manufactured at all five plants ?

This question was previously asked in
UPSSSC PET 2026 Question Paper (30-Oct-2026) (Shift-2)
The correct answer is

None of the above

From the table, units manufactured: B = 750, D = 900, and total for all five plants = 4000.

B and D together = \( 750 + 900 = 1650 \)

Required percentage = \( \frac{1650}{4000} \times 100 = 41.25\% \)

Check: 41.25% of 4000 = \( 0.4125 \times 4000 = 1650 \). The value 41·25% matches none of 35·50%, 48·25%, 40·25% and 50·50%.

Hence, None of the above.
