The pie chart shows the distribution (degree-wise) of the students who appeared in the annual examination from institutes P, Q, R, S and T in 2020. The total number of students who appeared is 3000

The ratio of the number of boys and girls who appeared in the examination from institutes S and T are 11 ∶ 12 and 5 ∶ 4, respectively. What is the difference between the total number of boys who appeared from institutes S and T and the total number of girls who appeared from these two institutes?

in the exam from institute T = 4y = 4 x 49.8 = 199.2 Total no of boys in S and T = 328.68 + 249 = 577.68 Total no of girls in S and T = 258.56 + 199.2 = 557.76 Difference between the total number of boys who appeared from institutes S and T and the total number of girls who appeared from these two institutes = 577.68 - 557.76 = 20 (apx) Therefore, the difference between the total number of boys who appeared from institutes S and T and the total number of girls who appeared from these two institutes is 20
