The correct answer is

A-3, B-1, C-4, D-2

Correct code: A-3, B-1, C-4, D-2. A. Gubernaculum forms the round ligament (A-3) — in the female it persists attached at the uterotubal junction, its upper part becoming the ovarian ligament and its lower part the round ligament, which traverses the inguinal canal to the labium majus. B. Genital tubercle forms the clitoris (B-1) — without dihydrotestosterone it enlarges only slightly; the urogenital folds become labia minora and the labioscrotal swellings the labia majora. C. Mesonephric (Wolffian) duct is matched with urethra (C-4) — lacking testosterone it largely regresses, its caudal contribution relating to the urogenital sinus and the paraurethral (Skene) glands, the female homologue of the prostate; elsewhere it persists as epoophoron, paroophoron and Gartner duct cysts. D. Paramesonephric (Mullerian) duct forms the uterus (D-2) — fused caudal parts give uterus, cervix and upper vagina; unfused cranial parts give the tubes.

Why the other codes fail: A-2, B-1, C-4, D-3 and A-2, B-4, C-1, D-3 both derive the uterus from the gubernaculum, when it is unambiguously Mullerian. A-3, B-4, C-1, D-2 misassigns the urethra to the genital tubercle and the clitoris to the mesonephric duct.

Key point: Female defaults: Mullerian equals tubes, uterus, cervix, upper vagina; gubernaculum equals ovarian plus round ligament; genital tubercle equals clitoris; Wolffian duct regresses.
