Question

In each of the following questions, a specific alphabetical pattern is applied to the first set of letters to form the second. Apply the same logic to find the missing term that relates to the third set in the same way. Choose the correct option from the given alternatives.

AEFJ : KOPT :: ? : QUVZ

This question was previously asked in
SSC CGL 2025 Tier 2 Paper 1 Question Paper (19-Jan-2026)
The correct answer is

GKLP

The pattern between AEFJ and KOPT is a uniform shift of +10 on each letter.

A(1)+10=K(11), E(5)+10=O(15), F(6)+10=P(16), J(10)+10=T(20). ✓

Apply −10 to QUVZ to find the missing term:

Q(17)−10=G(7), U(21)−10=K(11), V(22)−10=L(12), Z(26)−10=P(16).

Hence the missing term is GKLP.
