In a certain code language,
A + B means 'A is the mother of B',
A - B means 'A is the brother of B',
A × B means 'A is the wife of B',
A % B means 'A is the father of B',
A # B means 'A is the daughter of B'. If 'Eq - Vc + Tg # Yk % Np' is true, then what is the relation of Yk with Eq?

This question was previously asked in
RRB Group D 2025 Question Paper (9-Aug-2026) (Shift 1)
The correct answer is

Husband of sister

Decode each symbol one by one using the given key: '−' means brother of, '+' means mother of, '#' means daughter of, and '%' means father of. The expression Eq − Vc + Tg # Yk % Np is read from left to right by linking adjacent pairs.

From Eq − Vc, Eq is the brother of Vc, so Eq is male and Vc is Eq's sibling. From Vc + Tg, Vc is the mother of Tg, which makes Vc female. From Tg # Yk, Tg is the daughter of Yk, so Yk is Tg's father. Hence Yk and Vc are the parents of Tg, meaning Yk is the husband of Vc.

Since Vc is Eq's sister and Yk is Vc's husband, Yk is the husband of Eq's sister. Hence, the correct answer is Husband of sister.
