Question

In a certain code language,

A @ B means ‘A is the mother of B’

A # B means ‘A is the brother of B’

A $ B means ‘A is the wife of B’

A % B means ‘A is the father of B’.

If "Sid # Kashish $ Tarun % Puneet @ Aditya', then how is Sid related to Aditya?

The correct answer is

Mother's mother's brother

Decode the expression step by step.

Sid # Kashish: Sid is the brother of Kashish.

Kashish $ Tarun: Kashish is the wife of Tarun.

Tarun % Puneet: Tarun is the father of Puneet, so Kashish (Tarun's wife) is the mother of Puneet.

Puneet @ Aditya: Puneet is the mother of Aditya.

So Kashish is the mother of Aditya's mother, and Sid is Kashish's brother, i.e. Sid is the brother of Aditya's mother's mother.

Hence, the answer is Mother's mother's brother.
