Question

If a number increases from 200 to 266, what is the percentage increase ?

This question was previously asked in
UPTET 2026 Paper 2 Social Studies Question Paper (3-Jul-2026) (Shift 1)
The correct answer is

33%

The increase in value is \(266 - 200 = 66\).

Percentage increase is given by \(\frac{\text{increase}}{\text{original}} \times 100 = \frac{66}{200} \times 100\).

This equals \(33\%\).

So the percentage increase is \(33\%\).
