The correct answer is Pennatula.

Sea pens belong to the phylum Cnidaria, which includes a wide variety of aquatic animals characterized by stinging cells called cnidocytes. Within Cnidaria, sea pens are classified under the class Anthozoa, which also encompasses corals and sea anemones. While Gorgonia and Obelia are also cnidarians, they represent different groups – Gorgonia being a genus of sea fans (order Gorgonacea) and Obelia representing a genus of hydrozoans (class Hydrozoa). Adamsia is a genus of sea anemones, also within the phylum Cnidaria but distinct from sea pens. Pennatula, however, is a genus specifically encompassing sea pens, thus making it the correct scientific name representing a sea pen within the Cnidaria phylum. The unique morphology of sea pens, including their feather-like structure and bioluminescent capabilities, further distinguishes them within the cnidarian group. Understanding the taxonomic classification of these organisms helps in identifying their evolutionary relationships and ecological roles within marine ecosystems.
