I walk at a speed of 10 km/h and reach the destination in 2 hrs, exactly on time. If I increase my speed by 5 km/h, how early would I reach my destination?

The correct answer is

40 minutes

The correct answer is Option 3 i.e. 40 minutes.

Distance = speed × time

Distance = 10 × 2 = 20 km

New speed = 10 + 5 = 15 km/hr

New time = 20/15 = 4/3 hours = 1 hour 20 minutes

Time saved = 2 hours - 1 hour 20 minutes = 40 minutes
