Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) is a competitive examination conducted by the Punjab Public Service Commission. Punjab Public Service Commission has announced the eligibility criteria for appearing in PPSC 2020 examination along with the notification released in June 2020. The PPSC age eligibility criteria vary according to the category. The detailed information about the PPSC eligibility criteria 2020 is mentioned below:

National Eligibility for PPSC 2020

To be a successful candidate to sit in the examination a candidate must possess any of the nationality given below.

A candidate must be a

  1. Citizen of India
  2. Citizen of Nepal
  3. Citizen of Bhutan
  4. A refugee from Tibet, China who arrived in India before January 1962 and is a permanent resident of India.
  5. An Indian origin person who migrated from Pakistan, Sir Lanka, united republic of Tanzania, African countries and is settled or interested in settling in India.

PPSC 2020 Age Eligibility Criteria

The PPSC has prescribed a certain age- limit for the PCS exam. The candidate with age 21-37years can apply for the examination. However, the age limit eligibility and relaxation varies per the category of a candidate.

PPSC 2020 Application Process

The detailed instructions to apply online for the Punjab Public Service Commission 2020 is given below:

  • Go to the official website https://www.ppsc.gov.in/.
  • Click on ‘Recruitment to seventy-seven (77) posts to be filled through Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination-2020’.
  • Click on Apply Online.
  • Fill the application form. Make sure to have a valid email-id and a phone number to register successfully.
  • Upload scanned passport-sized photograph and a signature with size, not more than 40KB.
  • After filling all the credentials, you’ll be directed to the payment link.
  • Payment has to be made via challan.
  • Now, print the challan and make payment to your nearest SBI branch for the successful submission of the application.

Application Fees of PPSC 2020 Examination

The start date for depositing the application fees started on 7th June 2020. You have to follow certain steps for the submission of the application fees.

  • After the successful filling of the application form, select the mode of payment as Offline.
  • Generate a fee payment challan for the PPSC2020 application fee.
  • Visit any SBI branch to submit the fees before the final date of submission of the application fees.

PPSC Selection Procedure

PPSC selects candidates based on their performance in subsequent rounds of the examination. The PPSC examination is conducted in three rounds- Prelims, Mains, and the final Personality Test. Every test filters out the candidates and only the candidates who make it to the final round get selected for further postings.

Paper Pattern for Prelims Examination 2020

The prelims examination is an objective exam that consists of two papers each 200 marks. The duration of Paper-I and Paper-II in the Prelims exam 2020 is 2 hours.

The admit card for the examination will be released a few days before the date of examination. Candidates are required to download the admit card from the official website. Also, carry one ID proof, photograph along with the admit card to the center of examination for the successful conduct of the examination.
