About International Solar Alliance
- Formation:
- The International Solar Alliance (ISA) was launched in 2015 by India and France during the UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) in Paris.
- Aim: To promote solar energy across the globe, especially in regions with abundant sunlight, to combat energy poverty and climate change.
- Headquarters: The ISA’s headquarters is located in Gurugram, India.
Key Objectives:
- 1000 GW Solar Capacity by 2030: Aiming for 1000 GW of solar power generation capacity globally by 2030.
