The SSC board conducts exams for the position of Delhi Police constable, which consists of various stages. The exam is conducted in online mode and includes four subjects with 100 questions. It is a computer-based examination and the subjects included are General Intelligence and reasoning, numerical ability, computer knowledge, General knowledge, and awareness. The second stage includes a physical examination for the candidates followed by a medical test.

The candidate needs to be careful at the time of examination, as it includes negative marking. The candidate is given 1 mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for incorrect answers. The total duration of the examination is 1 hour 30 mins and the question paper is in both English and Hindi languages. Here is the table below to give a better understanding.

Preparation Tips for General knowledge section

This section contains the highest weightage, and the candidates have the highest chances of scoring. This section contains a total of 50 questions and is designed to check the general awareness of the candidates. The candidates need to prepare by reading the newspaper daily, being updated on the latest happenings, watching the news, and reading books about history also. The general knowledge section will contain questions related to India, and its neighbouring countries on topics like History, geography, Dates, economics, and many more.

  • The students must prepare well in advance and not wait for the last 10-12 days.
  • The general knowledge section is given equal importance and the students must prepare and be updated on the current happenings.
  • It is important to make notes and memorize important dates.

Preparation Tips for Reasoning section

In this particular section, the candidates have the maximum chances of scoring. The candidates need to concentrate on questions of mental ability, coding-decoding, puzzles, and many more. This particular section contains 25 questions in total and questions are asked from topics like Arithmetical Reasoning, Statement and assumption, Alphabet Series, Problem on Age calculation, Classification, Test of Direction Sense, Blood relations, and many more.

  • The nonverbal section will include topics like mirror images, paper cutting, figure series, and many more.

This section contains a total of 15 questions.
