The SSC board conducts exams for the position of Delhi Police constable, which consists of various stages. The exam is conducted in online mode and includes four subjects with 100 questions. It is a computer-based examination and the subjects included are General Intelligence and reasoning, numerical ability, computer knowledge, General knowledge, and awareness. The second stage includes a physical examination for the candidates followed by a medical test.
The candidate needs to be careful at the time of examination, as it includes negative marking. The candidate is given 1 mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for incorrect answers. This section contains a total of 50 questions and is designed to check the general awareness of the candidates. The candidates need to prepare by reading the newspaper daily, being updated on the latest happenings, watching the news, and reading books about history also. The general knowledge section will contain questions related to India, and its neighbouring countries on topics like History, geography, Dates, economics, and many more.
In this particular section, the candidates have the maximum chances of scoring. The candidates need to concentrate on questions of mental ability, coding-decoding, puzzles, and many more. This particular section contains 25 questions in total and questions are asked from topics like Arithmetical Reasoning, Statement and assumption, Alphabet Series, Problem on Age calculation, Classification, Test of Direction Sense, Blood relations, and many more.
The candidates need to focus on computer fundamentals and should buy books and read about it. This section will contain a total of 10 questions on topics like Basic of Computers, Computer Organization, Generations of computer, Input & Output Device, Shortcuts & Basic knowledge MS word, and, many more.
The numerical ability section is all about practice and practice. The candidates must do a lot of practice for these sections as it includes questions on topics like Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, and many more. This section contains a total of 15 questions.
