SSC CHSL 2021 Result, Answer Keys, Cutoff and Selection Process

The Staff Selection Commission will release the answer key seven or eighth days after the exam will commence. After one month of the exam, the result will be published by the Staff Selection Commission. According to the new notification, the Staff Selection Commission is going to publish the SSC CHSL Prelims examination in January 2021. 

28 October 2020: On 29 October, the SSC CHSL 2018 exam centre for skill test will be commenced. 

23 October 2020: Staff Selection Commission will publish the SSC CHSL Recruitment 2020-21 notification. 

The result is declared in the form of a PDF containing the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Exam takers can download the result from the official website – ssc.nic.in.  

  • SSC also releases the merit list and minimum Cutoff marks required to qualify the exam.
  • Candidates who qualify Tier 1 will appear for Tier 2 and subsequently for the Skill Test.  
  • Only the successful candidates will be able to download SSC CHSL Admit Card for the next level.
  • The merit list prepared after tier 2 will form the basis for tier 3 exam.
  • Candidates who qualify tier 3 stage will be considered selected, however, marks obtained in tier 3 exam will not be considered in preparing the final merit list

How to Download SSC CHSL Result 2021?

The result will be declared in the form of a PDF document, so one needs to search through the entire PDF document in order to obtain the marks.

Steps to check SSC CHSL Result 2021 are as follows:

Step 1: Go to the official website ssc.nic.in.

Step 2: Look and search for the tab “SSC CHSL Result 2021”.

Step 3: Click on the tab and a PDF document will open on the screen.

Step 4: Enter the command CTRL+F and search your roll number in the PDF.


SSC CHSL Answer Keys 2021

SSC CHSL Answer Keys, Response Sheets, and Questions papers for Tier 1 will be released in April 2020. Candidates can download the keys and tally with their responses by logging in at ssc.nic.in with their User ID and Password.

  • Candidates can raise objections against the key by paying a fee of INR 100 per question.
  • After verifying the objections, Final answer keys will be released which cannot be challenged and the result be based on this key itself. 
  • SSC will also release candidates’ response sheets and Question Papers for all the shifts.
  • This will help candidates to check their responses against the answer key and estimate their score in the exam.

  1. Visit the official website i.e ssc.nic.in.
  2. Click on the tab “answer key” on the home page.
  3. Enter your user Id and Password
  4. Download the answer key.

SSC CHSL Result 2021 for Tier 1

  • SSC CHSL 2021 Tier 1 exam will be conducted in computer-based mode (CBT)
  • There are 4 sections in the exam namely General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
  • The total marks weightage of the exam is 200, students who qualify the tier I will appear for tier II of the exam.
Score calculation formulae for SSC CHSL Tier I exam:
SSC CHSL Tier 1 total score (out of 200) = Marks obtained in General Intelligence + Marks obtained in English Language + Marks obtained in Quantitative Aptitude + Marks obtained in General Awareness – penalty for wrong answers. Check SSC CHSL Exam Pattern

SSC CHSL Result 2021 for Tier 2

  • The exam will be descriptive in nature.
  • The exam will be conducted in pen- paper based mode.
  • The total weightage of the exam is 100 marks.
  • A minimum of 33% marks is required to qualify the exam.
  • Marks obtained in this exam will be added for preparing the merit list.
  • Only candidates qualifying Tier 2 will be shortlisted for the skill test/typing test.

SSC CHSL Result 2021 for Tier 3

  • Tier 3 exam is a typing test which is post specific in nature.
  • It will be conducted for only those candidates who have been shortlisted on the basis of merit.
  • The marks obtained in this stage will not be added but is important to qualify this exam.
  • A minimum of 33% is required to be scored in this exam, in order to qualify for this exam.

Students must make sure that they qualify for this exam, if you fail in this exam, then you would not be entitled to final selection.

SSC CHSL Merit List 2021

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of your performance in SSC CHSL 2021 exam. The minimum cutoff defined must be obtained by a candidate in order to get his/her name on the merit list. Only candidates who clear the minimum cutoff defined for tier 1, tier 2 and final cutoff will be considered eligible for the post. Candidates can check previous years cutoff to get an estimate of the expected cutoff for an upcoming exam.

SSC CHSL 2018 – 19 Tier I Cutoff

  • Total obtainable score in tier I and tier II of SSC CHSL exam.
  • Total score obtained in SSC CHSL tier II exam

how many attempts can one give for ssc chsl?

Hi Priya. There is no limit of total number of attempts for SSC CHSL Exam, in case you meet the minimum eligibility criteria, you can apply everytime. A general candidate (with no relaxation) has minimum 9 Attempts if he starts giving his attempts at the age of 18 Years. More deatils are here.
