What is SSC CHSL 2026

SSC CHSL is the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to Group C posts in various Ministries, Departments, and Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies, Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals. The posts filled through this exam are Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Data Entry Operator Grade 'A.'. The exam is open to candidates who have passed the 12th Standard, and selection is made through Tier-I, Tier-II, and the Skill Test/Typing Test conducted as part of Tier-II.

SSC CHSL 2026 OTR must be completed on the new SSC website before filling out the application form. Candidates can complete OTR by following these steps:

1. Visit ssc.gov.in.
2. Click on One-Time Registration (OTR).

• Height: 152 cm to 162.5 cm, depending on region.

SSC CHSL 2026 BRO medical examination is conducted by a medical board nominated by HQ DGBR. Candidates must be medically fit for duties in high-altitude and hard areas.

Permanent tattoos are permitted only on the inner forearms and dorsal side of the palm. Medical appeals must be filed within the prescribed period; candidates permanently rejected for inadequate physical measurements cannot appeal the measurements, though same-day re-measurement may be conducted.
