SSC CHSL Exam 2026 will be held at over 125 exam centers in India distributed across 9 regions. An exam center once chosen by a candidate can not be changed at a later stage. Hence, it’s important to choose the exam center carefully while filling out the application form. The name and address of the SSC CHSL exam center will be mentioned on your admit card. Candidates must note that SSC reserves the right to cancel or change any exam center due to any reason. In such cases, the candidate will be asked to appear for the exam from a different exam center.

  • No. of centers a candidate can choose: A candidate can only choose a maximum of 3 exam centers in the order of priority. And, all three choices should be from the same region.

Documents Required at SSC CHSL Exam Centers

While appearing for the test at the center for SSC CHSL, you are required to bring the following documents:

  1. Admit Card - It is mandatory to carry the admit card on the exam day. The candidates must ensure that the admit card has the correct exam center and other details.
  2. Government ID Proof - Candidates must be carrying any valid ID proof such as a passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, etc.
  3. Passport Size Photographs – Candidates must carry at least 2 passport-size photographs on the exam day. It must be noted that the photograph must be the same as the one pasted on the admit card.

SSC CHSL 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

You are required to follow the guidelines on the exam day at the exam center. You can check out the guidelines below:

  • You must reach the exam center at least 60 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
  • You must bring two passport-size photographs, one government ID Proof, along with the Admit Card to the test center.
  • You are not allowed to carry any of the prohibited items mentioned in the Admit Card.
  • You are not allowed to leave the examination hall without the permission of the invigilator.

Ans. You can choose a maximum of 3 exam centers from the SSC CHSL examination centers list.

Ques. Can the exam center be changed before the SSC CHSL 2026 Exam?

Ans. No, once allotted, the exam center will not be changed. Hence, you are advised to enter their choice of centers carefully.

Ques. Can I appear at any of the given centers for SSC CHSL 2026?

Ans. No, you cannot appear at any of the given centers. You will be allowed entry at only a specific test center as mentioned on your admit card.

Ques. Is there any provision for scribes in the case of blind candidates?

Ans. You can have a scribe in case of visual impairment. However, you’ll need a separate admit card for them.
