RBI Grade B Officer Exam is one of the most putative exams in the Banking Division. This RBI Grade B exam is directed to recognize worthy aspirants for positions in DR, DEPR (Department of Economic Policy and Research) and DSIM (Department of Statistics & Information Management) in Common Seniority Group (CGS).

RBI has reclined educational basis for the enlistment of aspirants. All these Educational qualifications are as on 01 January,2021. Minimal scholastic qualification required for different posts is represented in tabular form below.
Graduation in any discipline /Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduation in any discipline/ Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters / years.

According to guidelines issued by RBI, applicants whose results are awaited are ineligible to register for any of the above-mentioned posts.
Maximum and minimum age limit is set up by the govt. for this exam. Age limit criteria are mentioned below.
Hence, the aspirants should have been born not before 2 January 1991 and not after 1 January 2000. In addition, the aspirants, who possess M.Phil and Ph.D qualifications, upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively. As per RBI guidelines, certain categories are exempted from a number of attempts whereas others have a restrainment.
According to RBI Grade B officer eligibility General category is limited to only 6 attempts.
Whereas OBC/ SC/ ST and PWD candidates have no curtailment on the number of attempts until the paramount age limitation is reached.
