RBI Assistant Exam 2021 cut-off for prelims and mains is released after the exam. However, based on previous year trends, it can be predicted to a certain extent. It determines whether a candidate is eligible for the next stage or not. The cut-off is not only available category-wise but also state-wise.

RBI Asst. Eligibility

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria

RBI has prescribed the following criteria for candidates to be eligible for this recruitment exam:

RBI Assistant Eligibility: Age Limit (as on December 1, 2019)

Candidates age must be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than December 2, 1991 and not later than December 1, 1999 (both days including). However, the upper age limit will be relaxed as under:

Category Relaxation in Age
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC / ST) By 5 years, i.e. up to 33 years
Other Backward Classes (OBC) By 3 years, i.e. up to 31 years
Persons with Disabilities (PWD) By 10 years (GEN/ EWS), 13 years (OBC) & 15 years (SC/ST)
Ex-Servicemen To the extent of service rendered by them in Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years subject to a maximum of 50 years.
Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married By 10 years
Candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989. By 5 years
Candidates having work experience in the Reserve Bank of India To the extent of a number of years of such experience, subject to a maximum of 3 years.

Note : Cumulative Age Relaxation will not be available either under above-listed items or in combination with any other items.

RBI Assistant Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).
  • Candidates must have knowledge of word processing on PC.
  • Candidates applying for a post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.
  • A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defense service.

Steps to fill RBI Application Form

  • Visit the official webpage i.e., www.rbi.org.in.
  • Select the link ‘Click here’ for New Registration.
  • Enter all the details asked & click on ‘Submit’
  • The registration number will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number and email id.
  • Now find the link for login and login using this registration number.
  • Complete the application form with the requisite details.
  • Upload photograph and signature & Click on ‘final submit’.
  • Pay the requisite application fees.
  • Download a copy of the application form after the final submission for future reference.

RBI Assistant 2021 Admit Card 

  • RBI Assistant 2021 examination Admit Card will be released in February 2021.
  • It will be available in online mode only at the official site www.rbi.org.in.
  • The last date to download RBI Assistant Admit Card will be the exam date.
  • The candidate will not be allowed to sit without RBI Assistant Recruitment 2021 examination Admit card.

Candidates should go through the details present on the admit card and should make sure that details present are complete and correct.

Preliminary Examination

  • Total time allotted for Preliminary exam is 60 minutes, that means the duration to attempt each section will be 20 minutes.
  • For every incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted from final score.
  • It is a qualifying exam i.e. on the basis of this candidate will be allowed to attempt main examination.

The question paper pattern for the preliminary exam will be in the following format:

Main Examination

  • RBI Main consists total of 200 questions.
  • For every correct answer 1 mark is awarded and for incorrect 0.25 will be deducted.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

After selection from the main examination, candidates will have to take a language proficiency test (LPT). The test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned (Refer Annex-IV of the official notification released). Candidates not proficient in the Official/Local Language may get disqualified.

The interview almost takes 35 minutes and major focus is to check the candidate’s capability, general awareness, and confidence.

RBI Assistant 2021 Salary

  • The Basic Pay will be around INR 14,650/- per month.
  • RBI assistants are also granted Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc.
  • Including the allowances, the Gross Salary would be approximately INR 36,091/- per month.

Ans. Final year students cannot apply for RBI Assistant 2021, as you have to mention the graduation marks in the form.

Ques.  Is there any Interview in RBI Assistant 2021 exam?

Ans. NO, as per the latest selection process there is no interview in RBI Assistant Exam. There are 3 stages of the exam: first, a preliminary exam is conducted, a post that the mains exam and after that, a language proficiency test is conducted.
