RBI Assistant Prelims 2020 cut off has been released on March 20, 2020. Candidates qualifying the sectional as well as overall cutoffs in the prelims will become eligible for the main exam. The final selection will be based only on performance in main exam. The language proficiency test is qualifying in nature. RBI Assistant Recruitment 2020 is conducted by Reserve Bank of India to recruit candidates for Assistant posts in various offices of the Bank. The recruitment process consists of the prelims exam, main exam and language proficiency test. RBI Assistant Exam Pattern is different for prelims and main exam. However, both are computer based test set in English and Hindi languages. The main exam was scheduled to be conducted on March 29, 2020 but it is postponed by the authorities until further notice. All the prelims qualified candidates will be able to download their  RBI Assistant 2020 Admit Card  for the main exam soon.

  • RBI Assistant 2020 Prelims Result has been declared on March 03, 2020. The mains result will be announced in the month of April 2020 (tentative) while the interview result will be declared in September 2020 (tentative).

  • Cumulative score of the preliminary exam, mains exam and the interview will be considered to prepare the final merit list of candidates.

RBI Assistant 2020 Eligibility Criteria

RBI has prescribed the following criteria for candidates to be eligible for this recruitment exam:

RBI Assistant Eligibility: Age Limit (as on December 1, 2019)

Candidates age must be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than December 2, 1991 and not later than December 1, 1999 (both days including). However, the upper age limit will be relaxed as under:

Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC / ST) By 5 years, i.e. up to 33 years
Other Backward Classes (OBC) By 3 years, i.e. up to 31 years
Persons with Disabilities (PWD) By 10 years (GEN/ EWS), 13 years (OBC) & 15 years (SC/ST)
Ex-Servicemen To the extent of service rendered by them in Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years subject to maximum of 50 years.
Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married By 10 years
Candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989. By 5 years
Candidates having work experience in Reserve Bank of India To the extent of number of years of such experience, subject to maximum of 3 years.

Note : Cumulative Age Relaxation will not be available either under above listed items or in combination with any other items.

RBI Assistant Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates).
  • Candidates must have knowledge of word processing on PC.
  • Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.
  • A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.

Steps to fill RBI Application Form

  • Visit the official webpage i.e., www.rbi.org.in.
  • Select the link ‘Click here’ for New Registration.
  • Enter all the details asked & click on ‘Submit’
  • The registration number will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number and email id.
  • Now find the link for login and login using this registration number.
  • Complete the application form with the requisite details.
  • Upload photograph and signature & Click on ‘final submit’.
  • Pay the requisite application fees.
  • Download a copy of the application form after the final submission for future reference.

RBI Assistant 2020 Admit Card 

  • RBI Assistant 2020 examination Admit card has been released on February 3, 2020.
  • It will be available in online mode only at the official site www.rbi.org.in.
  • The last date to download RBI Assistant Admit Card will be the exam date.
  • The candidate will not be allowed to sit without RBI Assistant Recruitment 2020 examination Admit card.

Preliminary Examination

  • Total time allotted for Preliminary exam is 60 minutes, that means the duration to attempt each section will be 20 minutes.
  • For every incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted from final score.
  • It is a qualifying exam i.e. on the basis of this candidate will be allowed to attempt main examination.

The question paper pattern for the preliminary exam will be in the following format:

Main Examination

  • RBI Main 2020 consists of total 200 questions.
  • For every correct answer 1 mark is awarded and for incorrect 0.25 will be deducted.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

After selection from the main examination, candidates will have to take a language proficiency test (LPT). The test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned (Refer Annex-IV of the official notification released). Candidate not proficient in the Official/Local Language may get disqualified.

The interview almost takes 35 minutes and major focus is to check candidate’s capabiliy, general awareness, and confidence.

RBI Assistant 2020 Salary

  • The Basic Pay will be around INR 14,650/- per month.
  • RBI assistants are also granted Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc.

Hi Rutuja, minimum required percentage is the aggregate percentage of the candidate in graduation and is not for individual semesters. Thus, you are eligible.
