RBI Assistant exam is conducted every year by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to recruit eligible candidates for different sub-offices and branches of the bank. Candidates qualifying the sectional as well as overall cutoffs in the prelims will become eligible for the Mains exam. The final selection will be based only on performance in the Mains exam. RBI has prescribed the following criteria for candidates to be eligible for this recruitment exam:
Candidates age must be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than December 2, 1991 and not later than December 1, 1999 (both days including). However, the upper age limit will be relaxed as under:

After selection from the main examination, candidates will have to take a language proficiency test (LPT). The test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned (Refer Annex-IV of the official notification released). Candidates not proficient in the Official/Local Language may get disqualified.
The interview almost takes 35 minutes and major focus is to check the candidate’s capability, general awareness, and confidence.
